Our Story

Sachets Foods Canada is your African pantry, founded by me, Oyemwen Ehimwenma Osunbor. I started Sachets in Benin City, Nigeria, because I needed to create a job for myself and wanted to solve a real problem I saw in our communities.

As Nigerians and Africans, we often struggle to find our authentic ingredients abroad. Sachets Foods Canada was created to bridge that gap for Africans who have moved to Canada and beyond in search of greener pastures.

I understand how lonely it can feel to live outside your home country, but with the right ingredients and a good pot of Egusi, Ogbono, or pepper soup, you can feel connected to home again.

At Sachets, we carefully source and deliver authentic African ingredients and pantry staples like jumbo snails, oven-dried catfish, codfish, native Bini pepper, Egusi, and more so you can cook confidently and keep the taste of home alive wherever you are.

Bringing Freshness From Home to Your Doorstep

At Sachets Foods Canada, freshness isn’t just a promise; it’s our standard. From fresh jumbo snails to oven-dried fish and carefully sourced spices, we ensure your ingredients arrive as fresh as possible so you can cook your favourite dishes with confidence. We package and ship with care so every meal you make brings you the comforting taste of home, wherever you are.

Sustainability in Every Step

We believe in building a business that respects the earth while feeding our communities. At Sachets Foods Canada, we source responsibly, reduce packaging waste where possible, and use eco-friendly materials to ship your products. Supporting sustainability helps us honour the farmers and communities that make authentic African ingredients possible for your pantry.
